Maia Stern made a film about her father shaving his beard when she was 7. She grew up in Washington, DC and received a BA in Media Studies at Pitzer College. After graduating, she worked at Cornerstone Agency - a creative marketing agency in New York City. She then went on to work at The FADER, managing and producing all original content for FADER TV. She began freelancing in 2013, producing video content for various clients including Barneys New York, Birchbox, Elle Magazine, New York Magazine, NPR Music, Sesame Street and more. She currently lives in Baltimore, MD and produces videos at NPR in Washington, DC.
