My first film was about my father shaving his beard that I made when I was 7. I grew up in Washington, D.C. and received a BA in Media Studies at Pitzer College in Claremont, CA. After graduating in 2007, I worked at Cornerstone Agency and then The FADER, where I produced original content for FADER TV. In 2013, I started freelancing in NYC for various outlets including Elle Magazine, Barneys New York, Birchbox, New York Magazine, Sesame Street and more. In 2015, I started working at NPR where I produced a science interview show called Maddie About Science and a series on foragers that was nominated for a James Beard award. In 2019, I started working at NPR Music where I am currently the lead video producer for Tiny Desk Concerts.
